(A)There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; (B)one Lord, (C)one faith, (D)one baptism; (E)one God and Father of all, who is above all, and (F)through all, and in [a]you all.

Spiritual Gifts

But (G)to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore He says:

(H)“When He ascended on high,
He led captivity captive,
And gave gifts to men.”

(I)(Now this, “He ascended”—what does it mean but that He also [b]first descended into the lower parts of the earth? 10 He who descended is also the One (J)who ascended far above all the heavens, (K)that He might fill all things.)

11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, (L)for the [c]edifying of (M)the body of Christ,

There is (A)one body and one Spirit, just as you also were called in one (B)hope of your calling; (C)one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all (D)who is over all and through all and in all.

But (E)to each one of us (F)grace was given (G)according to the measure of Christ’s gift. Therefore [a]it says,

There is one body(A) and one Spirit,(B) just as you were called to one hope when you were called(C); one Lord,(D) one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all,(E) who is over all and through all and in all.(F)

But to each one of us(G) grace(H) has been given(I) as Christ apportioned it. This is why it[a] says:

“When he ascended on high,
    he took many captives(J)
and gave gifts to his people.”[b](K)

(What does “he ascended” mean except that he also descended to the lower, earthly regions[c]? 10 He who descended is the very one who ascended(L) higher than all the heavens, in order to fill the whole universe.)(M) 11 So Christ himself gave(N) the apostles,(O) the prophets,(P) the evangelists,(Q) the pastors and teachers,(R) 12 to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ(S) may be built up(T)
