Then Abram fell on his face, and God said to him, “As for me, this is my covenant with you: You shall be the ancestor of a multitude of nations.(A) No longer shall your name be Abram,[a] but your name shall be Abraham,[b] for I have made you the ancestor of a multitude of nations.(B) I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come from you.(C) I will establish my covenant between me and you and your offspring after you throughout their generations, for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your offspring after you.(D) And I will give to you and to your offspring after you the land where you are now an alien, all the land of Canaan, for a perpetual holding, and I will be their God.”(E)

God said to Abraham, “As for you, you shall keep my covenant, you and your offspring after you throughout their generations.

Abram fell facedown,(A) and God said to him, “As for me, this is my covenant with you:(B) You will be the father of many nations.(C) No longer will you be called Abram[a]; your name will be Abraham,[b](D) for I have made you a father of many nations.(E) I will make you very fruitful;(F) I will make nations of you, and kings will come from you.(G) I will establish my covenant(H) as an everlasting covenant(I) between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God(J) and the God of your descendants after you.(K) The whole land of Canaan,(L) where you now reside as a foreigner,(M) I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you;(N) and I will be their God.(O)

Then God said to Abraham, “As for you, you must keep my covenant,(P) you and your descendants after you for the generations to come.(Q)
