25 And then He said to them, “[a]You foolish men and slow of heart to believe in all that (A)the prophets have spoken! 26 (B)Was it not necessary for the [b]Christ to suffer these things and to come into His glory?” 27 Then beginning [c]with (C)Moses and [d]with all the (D)Prophets, He explained to them the things written about Himself in all the Scriptures.

44 Now He said to them, “(A)These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all the things that are written about Me in the (B)Law of Moses and the Prophets and (C)the Psalms must be fulfilled.” 45 Then He (D)opened their [a]minds to understand the Scriptures, 46 and He said to them, “(E)So it is written, that the [b]Christ would suffer and (F)rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and that (G)repentance [c]for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed [d]in His name to (H)all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are (I)witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, (J)I am sending the promise of My Father upon you; but (K)you are to stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
