Jesus Calms the Storm
23 (A)When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him. 24 And behold, a [a]violent storm developed on the sea, so that the boat was being covered by the waves; but Jesus Himself was asleep. 25 And they came to Him and woke Him, saying, “(B)Save us, Lord; we are perishing!” 26 He *said to them, “Why are you [b]afraid, (C)you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and [c]it became perfectly calm. 27 The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

Psalm 107:25-31

27 They reeled and (E)staggered like a drunken person,
And [b]were at their wits’ end.
28 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble,
And He brought them out of their distresses.
29 He (F)caused the storm to be still,
So that the waves [c]of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad because they were quiet,
So He guided them to their desired harbor.
31 (G)They shall give thanks to the Lord for His mercy,
And for His [d](H)wonders to the sons of mankind!
