¹³ The ^(A)fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
^(B)Pride, arrogance, ^(C)the evil way,
And the ^(D)perverted mouth, I hate.

¹⁰ The ^(A)fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

¹¹ The Lord ^(A)favors those who fear Him,
^(B)Those who wait for His ^[a]faithfulness.

¹⁸ Behold, ^(A)the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him,
On those who ^(B)wait for His faithfulness,

²⁸ And to mankind He said, ‘Behold, the ^(A)fear of the Lord, that is wisdom;
And to turn away from evil is understanding.’”
