Psalm 16:5-11

⁵The Lord is ^(A)my chosen portion and my ^(B)cup;
you hold my ^(C)lot.
⁶^(D)The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

⁷I bless the Lord who ^(E)gives me counsel;
in ^(F)the night also my ^(G)heart instructs me.^[a]
⁸^(H)I have ^(I)set the Lord always before me;
because he is at my ^(J)right hand, I shall not be ^(K)shaken.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my ^(L)whole being^[b] rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.
¹⁰For you will not abandon my soul to ^(M)Sheol,
^(N)or let your ^(O)holy one see ^(P)corruption.^[c]

¹¹You make known to me ^(Q)the path of life;
in your presence there is ^(R)fullness of joy;
at your right hand are ^(S)pleasures forevermore.

⁵Lord, you alone are my portion^(A) and my cup;^(B)
    you make my lot^(C) secure.
⁶The boundary lines^(D) have fallen for me in pleasant places;
    surely I have a delightful inheritance.^(E)
⁷I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;^(F)
    even at night^(G) my heart instructs me.
⁸I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
    With him at my right hand,^(H) I will not be shaken.^(I)
