¹⁶ For I am not ^(A)ashamed of the gospel, for ^(B)it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the ^(C)Jew first and also to ^(D)the Greek.

⁴ and my ^[a]message and my preaching were ^(A)not in persuasive words of ^[b]wisdom, but in demonstration of ^(B)the Spirit and of power, ⁵ so that your faith would not ^[c]rest on the ^[d]wisdom of mankind, but on ^(C)the power of God.

²⁰ For the kingdom of God is ^(A)not in ^[a]words, but in power.

^4 (A)treacherous, ^(B)reckless, ^(C)conceited, ^(D)lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, ⁵ holding to a form of ^[a](E)godliness although they have ^(F)denied its power; ^(G)avoid such people as these.
