  1. So they said, “This is blood; the kings must have fought each other, and they have killed one another. Now then, Moab, to the spoils!”

So they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, “The nations whom you have taken into exile and settled in the cities of Samaria do not know the custom of the God of the land; so He has sent lions among them, and behold, they are killing them because they do not know the custom of the God of the land.”
  23. Then it came about, as he was worshiping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer killed him with the sword; and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And his son Esarhaddon became king in his place.
  24. And the servants of Amon conspired against him and killed the king in his own house.
  25. Then the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against King Amon, and the people of the land made his son Josiah king in his place.
