  17. ‘You shall not do injustice in judgment; you shall not show partiality to the poor nor give preference to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.
  18. So Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Each of you kill his men who have become followers of Baal of Peor.”
  19. then the congregation shall judge between the one who fatally struck the victim and the blood avenger in accordance with these ordinances.

  24. then both people who have the dispute shall stand before the Lord, before the priests and the judges who will be in office in those days.
  25. And the judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is a false witness and he has testified against his brother falsely,
