  126. so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.
  127. waiting from that time until his enemies should be made a footstool for his feet.
  128. Patience in Suffering

    Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains.
  129. because they formerly did not obey, when God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water.
  130. waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!
  131. But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.
  132. Final Words

    Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
  133. keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.
