ABDEEL ăb’ diəl (עַבְדְּאֵ֔ל, servant of God [El]). A man whose son, Shelemiah, was directed by Jehoiakim, king of Judah, to arrest Baruch, the scribe, and Jeremiah, the prophet (Jer 36:26).
