AKRABATTENE ak’ rə bat’ ə ni (̓Ακραβαττίνη, KJV ARABATTINE). A place on the frontier of Judea and Idumea where Judas Maccabeus won a military victory over the Idumeans (1 Macc 5:3). Josephus mentions an Akrabattene SE of Shechem (Jos. War II. xii. 4; IV. ix. 9), and possibly identical with the one mentioned in 1 Maccabees 5:3.
