GEBER ge’ bər (גֶּ֥בֶר, man, strong one). The name of two men listed among the twelve officers appointed to provide food for Solomon’s household. 1. Ben-geber (1 Kings 4:13) in charge of the district around Ramoth-gilead, E of the Jordan.

2. Geber (1 Kings 4:19) the son of Uri, in charge of the district of Gilead, also E of the Jordan, but prob. S of Ramoth-gilead.
