HAMMEDATHA hăm’ ə dā’ thə (הַמְּדָ֛תָ) KJV AMADATHA. The father of Haman, the chief minister of Ahasuerus. He was a bitter enemy of the Jews (Esth 3:1, 10; 8:5; 9:10, 24). In Additions to Esther 12:6; 16:10, 17, he is called Amadathus in the KJV and ASV.
