HERODION hĭ rō’ dĭ ən (̔Ηρῳδίων, G2479). A Christian at Rome to whom Paul sent greetings (Rom. 16:11). Paul calls him “my kinsman,” either as a blood-relative or simply a fellow Jew. The name suggests that he may have been a freedman of the Herods, or possibly a member of the household of Aristobulus (v. 10).
