HORSE GATE (שַׁ֤עַר הַסּוּסִימ׃֙, the gate of the horses). A Jerusalem gate at the SE corner of the Temple area opposite the palace (Jer 31:40), where Athaliah was killed (2 Kings 11:16). It was restored by Nehemiah (Neh 3:28).
