KADMIEL kăd’ mĭ əl (קַדְמִיאֵ֛ל). A Levite, head of a tribal house, who returned from the Exile with Zerubbabel (Ezra 2:40, 3:9; Neh 7:43; 12:8, 24). A Kadmiel supervised the workmen who rebuilt the Temple (Ezra 3:9), sealed the covenant (Neh 10:9), and praised God for the return from the Exile (9:4, 5; 12:24).
