KNOP nŏp. 1. (כַּפְתּﯴר֮, H4117). An archaic word for the bud of a flower or for an ornamental knob. It is used in Exodus 25:31-36 and 37:17-22 (KJV; ASV; RSV CAPITAL) to describe the ornamental knobs of the golden candlestick, or lampstand, of the Tabernacle.

2. (פְּקָעִים, H7225). Gourd shaped ornaments carved on the cedar lining of the walls of Solomon’s Temple (1 Kings 6:18); RSV Gourds and similar ornaments of the brazen sea (7:24 RSV Gourds).
