VEIN (מﯴצָא֒, H4604, source). A word found only in the KJV of Job 28:1: “Surely there is a vein for the silver, and a place for the gold where they fine it.” The ASV and RSV have “mine.” Job appears to say that there is a place from which silver and gold come forth; but as for wisdom (he adds later, vv. 12ff.) there is no place where it can be found in all the land of the living.
