13:2 Michmash. Some four miles southeast of Bethel on the north side of the Wadi Suwenet, a seasonal river valley used for travel between the Jordan Valley and the central hill country.

Gibeah of Benjamin. This may be the Gibeah three miles north of Jerusalem, or possibly it was a village facing Michmash from the south side of the Wadi Suwenet.
