the Negeb of Judah. See 2 Sam. 24:7; 2 Chr. 28:18. The large southern region of Israel, the Negeb, extended from Beersheba south to the Gulf of Aqaba.

Jerahmeelites. 1 Chr. 2:9–15 mentions Jerahmeel as a descendant of Judah through Hezron and as a brother of Ram, an ancestor of David.
