2:5 covenant that I made with you. God’s covenant promises, made with His people in the Exodus from Egypt, now assure them of His presence (cf. Ex. 33:12–17; Num. 11:16–17). His mighty Spirit is present, just as in the days of the great deliverance from Egypt.
