For I will forgive. The basis of the promises in vv. 32, 33 will be a new work of redemption that secures the forgiveness of sins (see Heb. 10:1–17).

remember their sin no more. The continuing cycle of sacrifices under the old covenant provided a constant reminder of sins (Heb. 10:3, 4, 11). The words “no more” underscore that the satisfaction made for sins in the redemption to come will be perfect, making any further sacrifices unnecessary.
