10:1–42 This chapter is divided into three sections: the good shepherd discourse (vv. 1–21), the discourse with the Jews at the Feast of Dedication (vv. 22–38), and a closing section (vv. 39–42). The chapter is unified by the teaching on the certain character of Christ’s saving activity.
