bring to your remembrance all. This statement shows the divine intention in the teaching work of the Holy Spirit: the Spirit’s teaching agrees with the teaching of Jesus Himself. He will ensure that the words of Jesus will be preserved for the instruction of the church (Matt. 24:35). These promises given to the apostles were fulfilled in the preaching of the apostles and in the completion of the New Testament Scriptures. They continue to be fulfilled as God’s people learn from the inspired Scripture.
