The first refers undoubtedly to the Crucifixion that will take Jesus away from them, the second may refer to the Resurrection, the coming of the Spirit, or to the Second Coming of Christ. The Resurrection fits best for the immediate time of the prophecy; the Second Coming fits best for the full scope of the joy in view.
