1 Corinthians 4:11
Print
Even unto this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are naked and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place,
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place;
To this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are continually poorly dressed, and we are roughly treated, and wander homeless.
To this hour we have gone both hungry and thirsty; we [habitually] wear but one undergarment [and shiver in the cold]; we are roughly knocked about and wander around homeless.
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless;
Up to this very moment we are hungry, thirsty, wearing rags, abused, and homeless.
Till this very moment we go hungry and thirsty, we are dressed in rags, we are treated roughly, we wander from place to place,
Even today we go hungry and thirsty and don't have anything to wear except rags. We are mistreated and don't have a place to live.
To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are in nakedness, and buffeted, and wander without a home,
Until the present hour indeed we hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are beaten, and live-transiently,
Even unto this hour we both hunger and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no fixed abode;
Even now we still don’t have enough to eat or drink, and we don’t have enough clothes. We often get beatings. We have no homes.
Until now, we continue to be hungry and thirsty. Our clothes have become old. Sometimes people hit us for no reason. We do not have our own homes.
At the present we still hunger and thirst and lack proper clothing. We are treated roughly, and we have no settled place to live in.
To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless,
To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are poorly dressed and buffeted and homeless,
Even ·to this very hour [or now] we do not have enough to eat or drink or to wear. We are often beaten, and we have no homes in which to live.
Unto this hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place,
To this moment, we are hungry, thirsty, poorly dressed, roughly treated, and homeless.
To this very moment we go hungry and thirsty; we are clothed in rags; we are beaten; we wander from place to place;
Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless;
Even now we still do not have enough to eat or drink or enough clothes. We are often beaten. We have no homes.
We are hungry, thirsty, dressed in rags, brutally treated, and homeless, right up to the present.
I sometimes think that God means us, the messengers, to appear last in the procession of mankind, like the men who are to die in the arena. For indeed we are made a public spectacle before the angels of Heaven and the eyes of men. We are looked upon as fools, for Christ’s sake, but you are wise in the Christian faith. We are considered weak, but you have become strong: you have found honour, we little but contempt. Up to this very hour we are hungry and thirsty, ill-clad, knocked about and practically homeless. We still have to work for our living by manual labour. Men curse us, but we return a blessing: they make our lives miserable but we take it patiently. They ruin our reputations but we go on trying to win them for God. We are the world’s rubbish, the scum of the earth, yes, up to this very day.
Even unto this present hour we both hunger and thirst and are ill clad and are buffeted and have no certain dwelling place
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
To this present hour we hunger and thirst, and are poorly clothed, and roughly treated, and homeless;
Until the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty and poorly clothed and roughly treated and homeless,
To this very hour we have gone hungry and thirsty, without even enough clothes to keep us warm. We have been kicked around without homes of our own.
It seems to me that God has put us who bear his Message on stage in a theater in which no one wants to buy a ticket. We’re something everyone stands around and stares at, like an accident in the street. We’re the Messiah’s misfits. You might be sure of yourselves, but we live in the midst of frailties and uncertainties. You might be well-thought-of by others, but we’re mostly kicked around. Much of the time we don’t have enough to eat, we wear patched and threadbare clothes, we get doors slammed in our faces, and we pick up odd jobs anywhere we can to eke out a living. When they call us names, we say, “God bless you.” When they spread rumors about us, we put in a good word for them. We’re treated like garbage, the leftovers that nobody wants. And it’s not getting any better.
Even to this present hour we both hunger and thirst, and are poorly clothed and beaten and homeless.
To this present hour · we are hungry and thirsty, · poorly clothed, · knocked about, and homeless.
To this moment, we are hungry, thirsty, poorly dressed, roughly treated, and homeless.
To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clad and roughly treated, we wander about homeless
Up to this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed and roughly treated and homeless;
To this present hour we are both hungry and thirsty, and are poorly clothed, and are roughly treated, and are homeless;
To this very hour, we endure hunger and thirst. We are poorly clad and beaten and homeless,
Even to this very hour we do not have enough to eat or drink or to wear. We are often beaten, and we have no homes in which to live.
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, poorly clothed, brutally treated, and without a roof over our heads.
Up to this very hour we are hungry and thirsty. We are dressed in rags. We are being treated badly. We have no homes.
To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless.
To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless.
To this hour we are hungry and thirsty, and our clothes are worn out. People hurt us. We have no homes.
Even now we go hungry and thirsty, and we don’t have enough clothes to keep warm. We are often beaten and have no home.
Even to this day we both hunger and thirst, and are clothed in rags, and are buffeted with fists, and have no certain dwelling place,
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed and beaten and homeless,
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed and beaten and homeless,
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are poorly clothed and beaten and homeless,
To the present hour we are hungry and thirsty, we are naked and beaten and homeless,
Yes, right up to the present moment we go hungry and thirsty; we are badly clothed, roughly treated, with no home to call our own.
Until the present sha’ah (hour) we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are beaten and homeless.
Unto this hour, we both hunger and thirst, and are naked and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling place;
To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are ill-clad and buffeted and homeless,
To the present hour we hunger and thirst, we are ill-clad and buffeted and homeless,
To this very hour we are both hungry and thirsty, dressed in rags and mistreated and homeless.
Up to this very minute, we are famished, we are thirsty, and our clothes are shabby, practically rotted to pieces. We are homeless, hapless wanderers.
Even to this present hour we hunger, thirst, are naked, are beaten, and have no certain dwelling place.
Even now we are hungry and thirsty. We need clothes. We are beaten and we have no home.
Till into this hour we hunger, and thirst, and be naked, and be smitten with buffets, and we be unstable [and we be unstable, moving from place to place],
unto the present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and wander about,
