1 Corinthians 9:19
Print
For though I am free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
For though I was free from all men, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to everyone, so that I may win more [for Christ].
For although I am free in every way from anyone’s control, I have made myself a bond servant to everyone, so that I might gain the more [for Christ].
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
Although I am free from all and not anyone’s slave, I have made myself a slave to everyone, in order to win more people.
Although I’m free from all people, I make myself a slave to all people, to recruit more of them.
For although I am a free man, not bound to do anyone’s bidding, I have made myself a slave to all in order to win as many people as possible.
I am not anyone's slave. But I have become a slave to everyone, so I can win as many people as possible.
For being free from all, I have made myself bondman to all, that I might gain the most [possible].
For while being free from all people, I enslaved myself to all in order that I might gain the more.
For whereas I was free as to all, I made myself the servant of all, that I might gain the more.
I am free. I belong to no other person, but I make myself a slave to everyone. I do this to help save as many people as I can.
Yes, I am a free man. I am not anybody's slave. But I choose to serve everybody like a slave. I do that so that I can help many more people to believe in Christ.
In fact, although I am free from all, I enslaved myself to all so that I might gain many more.
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them.
I am free and belong to no one. But I make myself a slave to all people to win as many as I can.
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all men, that I may win the more.
Although I’m free from all people, I have made myself a slave for all people to win more of them.
I am a free man, nobody's slave; but I make myself everybody's slave in order to win as many people as possible.
Although I am a free man and not anyone’s slave, I have made myself a slave to everyone, in order to win more people.
I am free. I belong to no man. But I make myself a slave to all people. I do this to help save as many people as I can.
Although I am free from everyone’s expectations, I have made myself a servant to all of them to win more people.
For I take no special pride in the fact that I preach the Gospel. I feel compelled to do so; I should be utterly miserable if I failed to preach it. If I do this work because I choose to do so then I am entitled to a reward. But if it is no choice of mine, but a sacred responsibility put upon me, what can I expect in the way of reward? This, that when I preach the Gospel, I can make it absolutely free of charge, and need not claim what is my rightful due as a preacher. For though I am no man’s slave, yet I have made myself everyone’s slave, that I might win more men to Christ. To the Jews I was a Jew that I might win the Jews. To those who were under the Law I put myself in the position of being under the Law (although in fact I stand free of it), that I might win those who are under the Law. To those who had no Law I myself became like a man without the Law (even though in fact I cannot be a lawless man for I am bound by the law of Christ), so that I might win the men who have no Law. To the weak I became a weak man, that I might win the weak. I have, in short, been all things to all sorts of men that by every possible means I might win some to God. I do all this for the sake of the Gospel; I want to play my part in it properly.
¶ Therefore, though I am free regarding everyone, yet I have made myself slave unto all, that I might gain the more.
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more.
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more.
For although I am free from all people, I have enslaved myself to all, in order that I may gain more.
And this has a real advantage: I am not bound to obey anyone just because he pays my salary; yet I have freely and happily become a servant of any and all so that I can win them to Christ.
Even though I am free of the demands and expectations of everyone, I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach a wide range of people: religious, nonreligious, meticulous moralists, loose-living immoralists, the defeated, the demoralized—whoever. I didn’t take on their way of life. I kept my bearings in Christ—but I entered their world and tried to experience things from their point of view. I’ve become just about every sort of servant there is in my attempts to lead those I meet into a God-saved life. I did all this because of the Message. I didn’t just want to talk about it; I wanted to be in on it!
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself servant to all, that I might win even more.
For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, so that I might win · as many as possible.
Although I’m free from all people, I have made myself a slave for all people to win more of them.
Although I am free in regard to all, I have made myself a slave to all so as to win over as many as possible.
For though I am free from all people, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may gain more.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I may win more.
Although I am free and belong to no man, I have made myself a slave to all so as to win over as many as possible.
I am free and belong to no one. But I make myself a slave to all people to win as many as I can.
For since I am free from all I can make myself a slave to all, in order to gain even more people.
I am free and don’t belong to anyone. But I have made myself a slave to everyone. I do it to win as many as I can to Christ.
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win the more;
No man has any hold on me, but I have made myself a workman owned by all. I do this so I might lead more people to Christ.
Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ.
For though no man is my master, yet I have made myself a servant to all, so that I might win the more.
For though I am free with respect to all, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I might win more of them.
For though I am free with respect to all, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I might win more of them.
For though I am free with respect to all, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I might win more of them.
For though I am free with respect to all, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I might gain all the more.
The reason for all this is as follows. I am indeed free from everyone; but I have enslaved myself to everyone, so that I can win all the more.
For being no indentured servant to any one of the Bnei Adam, I made myself a servant [working for nothing] to kol Bnei Adam, that I might win the more.
For though I am free from all, yet have I made myself servant to all, that I may win the more.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, that I might win the more.
For though I am free from all men, I have made myself a slave to all, so that I might win over more of them.
that also means that I am free of obligations to all people. And, even though no one (except Jesus) owns me, I have become a slave by my own free will to everyone in hopes that I would gather more believers.
For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more.
Even though I am no one's slave, yet I have made myself a slave to everyone. I have done this so that I might win more people to Christ.
For why when I was free of all men, I made me servant of all men, to win the more men [that I should win more men].
for being free from all men, to all men I made myself servant, that the more I might gain;
