And David longed and said, “Oh that one would give me a drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem that is at the gate!”
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me water to drink of the well of Beth-lehem, which is by the gate!
David had a craving and said, “Oh that someone would give me a drink of water from the well of Bethlehem, which is next to the gate!”
And David longingly said, Oh, that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem which is by the gate!
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, that is at the gate!
David was extremely thirsty and said, “If only someone would bring me water to drink from the well at the city gate of Bethlehem!”
David had a craving and said, “If only someone could give me a drink of water from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.”
David had a craving and said, “I wish someone could give me water to drink from the well by the gate of Beit-Lechem!”
and he said, “I'm very thirsty. I wish I had a drink of water from the well by the gate to Bethlehem.”
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me to drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, which is in the gate!
And David longed, and said: O that some man would give me water of the cistern of Bethlehem, which is in the gate.
David was thirsty for some water from his hometown, so he said, “Oh, if only I could have some water from that well by the gate in Bethlehem.”
David was very thirsty. He said, ‘I want someone to bring water from the well near Bethlehem's gate for me to drink.’
David expressed this desire: “Who will give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem inside the gate?”
And David said longingly, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!”
And David said longingly, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!”
David had a ·strong desire [craving; longing] for some water. He said, “Oh, I wish someone would get me water from the well near the city gate of Bethlehem!”

David was extremely thirsty and said, “If only someone would bring me water to drink from the well at the city gate of Bethlehem!”
David had a strong desire for some water. He said, “Oh, I wish someone would get me water from the well near the city gate of Bethlehem!”
David expressed a longing, “Oh, how I wish someone would get me a drink of water from the Bethlehem well that’s by the city gate!”
And David longed and said, Oh, that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem, that is at the gate!
And David longed, and said, Oh that one would give me drink of the water of the well of Beth-lehem, that is at the gate!
Then David had a craving and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
And David had a craving, and he said, “Who could give me a drink of water from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!”
David wanted a drink from the Bethlehem well beside the gate, and when he mentioned this to his men,
The Big Three from the Thirty made a rocky descent to David at the Cave of Adullam while a company of Philistines was camped in the Valley of Rephaim. David was holed up in the Cave while the Philistines were prepared for battle at Bethlehem. David had a sudden craving: “What I wouldn’t give for a drink of water from the well in Bethlehem, the one at the gate!” The Three penetrated the Philistine camp, drew water from the well at the Bethlehem gate, shouldered it, and brought it to David. And then David wouldn’t drink it! He poured it out as a sacred offering to God, saying, “I’d rather be damned by God than drink this! It would be like drinking the lifeblood of these men—they risked their lives to bring it.” So he refused to drink it. These are the kinds of things that the Big Three of the Mighty Men did.
Now David was overcome with longing and said, “Who will get me a drink of water from the well of Bethlehem by the gate?”
David was thirsty and said, “I wish I could have a drink of water from the cistern at the city gate of Bethlehem.”
David had a strong craving, and said, “If only someone would give me a drink of water from the cistern by the gate of Bethlehem!”

David remarked longingly to his men, “Oh, how I would love some of that good water from the well by the gate in Bethlehem.”
David said longingly, ‘O that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem that is by the gate!’

David longed, and said, “Oh that someone would give me water to drink from the well of Bethlehem, which is by the gate!”
Therefore David desired water, and said, I would, that some man gave to me water (out) of the cistern of Bethlehem, which is in the gate. (And so David desired water, and said, I wish that someone would give me some water from the well, which is by the gate of Bethlehem.)
