Then on that day David delivered first this psalm, to thank the Lord, into the hand of Asaph and his brethren:
Then on that day did David first ordain to give thanks unto Jehovah, by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
Then on that day David first entrusted to Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord [as their chief task].
Then on that day David first entrusted to Asaph and his brethren the singing of thanks to the Lord [as their chief task]:
¶ Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
On that day David decreed for the first time that thanks be given to the Lord by Asaph and his relatives:
On the same day, for the first time, David ordered Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord.
It was on that same day that David first ordered that thanks be given to Adonai through Asaf and his kinsmen:
That same day, David instructed Asaph and his relatives for the first time to sing these praises to the Lord:
Then on that day David delivered first [this psalm] to give thanks to Jehovah through Asaph and his brethren.
In that day David made Asaph the chief to give praise to the Lord with his brethren.
This was when David first gave Asaph and his brothers the job of singing praises to the Lord.
On that day, David first told Asaph and the other Levites to sing this song to thank the Lord:
On that day David first gave the directive to give thanks to the Lord through the ministry of Asaph and his associates:
Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the Lord by Asaph and his brothers.
Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the Lord by Asaph and his brothers.
That day David first ·gave [assigned; appointed] Asaph and his ·relatives [kinsmen; L brothers] ·the job of singing praises [this song of thanksgiving; vv. 8–22 correspond to Ps. 105:1–15] to the Lord.
Then at that time David did appoint at the beginning to give thanks to the Lord by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
For the first time David entrusted Asaph and his relatives with the task of singing songs of thanks to the Lord:
It was then that David first gave Asaph and the other Levites the responsibility for singing praises to the Lord.
On that day David decreed for the first time that thanks be given to the Lord by Asaph and his relatives:
That day David first gave Asaph and his relatives the job of singing praises to the Lord.
On that very day, David composed this psalm of thanksgiving to the Lord just for Asaph and his companions:
¶ Then, on that day, David began to thank the LORD by the hand of Asaph and his brethren.
Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.

Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to Yahweh.

At that time David began the custom of using choirs in the Tabernacle to sing thanksgiving to the Lord. Asaph was the director of this choral group of priests.
That was the day that David inaugurated regular worship of praise to God, led by Asaph and his company.
On that day then, David delivered for the first time this psalm of thanksgiving to the Lord into the hand of Asaph and his brothers:
For the first time David entrusted Asaph and his relatives with the task of singing songs of thanks to Yahweh:
On that same day, David appointed Asaph and his brothers to sing for the first time these praises of the Lord:
Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to the Lord.

On that day David first gave Asaph and his brethren this psalm of thanks to the Lord:
That day David first gave Asaph and his relatives the job of singing praises to the Lord.
That day David first gave to Asaph and his colleagues this song of thanks to the Lord.
That day was the first time David appointed Asaph and his helpers. He appointed them to give praise to the Lord with these words.

On that day David first delivered this psalm into the hand of Asaph and his brethren, to thank the Lord:

In that day, David made Asaph prince, and his brethren, for to acknowledge to the Lord. (On that day, David first ordained Asaph, and his kinsmen, to give praise and thanks to the Lord, and to proclaim to the people, saying,)
