For Thou, O my God, hast told Thy servant that Thou wilt build him a house; therefore Thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before Thee.
For thou, O my God, hast revealed to thy servant that thou wilt build him a house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray before thee.
For You, O my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build for him a house (descendants); therefore Your servant has found courage to pray before You.
For You, O my God, have told Your servant that You will build for him a house (a blessed posterity); therefore Your servant has found courage and confidence to pray before You.
For thou, O my God, hast told thy servant that thou wilt build him an house: therefore thy servant hath found in his heart to pray before thee.
Since you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a house, your servant has found courage to pray in your presence.
You, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a dynasty. That is why your servant has found the courage to pray this prayer to you.
For you, my God, have disclosed to your servant that you will build him a house. This is why your servant has the courage to pray to you.
because you are my God, and you have promised that my descendants will be kings. That's why I have the courage to pray to you like this, even though I am only your servant.
For thou, my God, hast revealed to thy servant that thou wilt build him a house; therefore hath thy servant found [in his heart] to pray before thee.
For thou, O Lord my God, hast revealed to the ear of thy servant, that thou wilt build him a house: and therefore thy servant hath found confidence to pray before thee.
“My God, you spoke to me, your servant. You made it clear that you would make my family a family of kings. That is why I am being so bold—that is why I am asking you to do these things.
My God, you have made this promise to me, your servant. You have said that I will always have descendants who will rule. That is the house that you will build for me. Because you have said that, I was not afraid to pray to you.
For you, my God, have whispered into the ear of your servant that you would build a house for him. That is why your servant has dared to pray before you.
For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. Therefore your servant has found courage to pray before you.
For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him. Therefore your servant has found courage to pray before you.

You, my God, have revealed especially to me that you will build me a house. That is why I have found ⌞the courage⌟ to pray to you.
I have the courage to pray this prayer to you, my God, because you have revealed all this to me, your servant, and have told me that you will make my descendants kings.
Since You, my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house, Your servant has found courage to pray in Your presence.
“My God, you have told me that you would make my family great. So I, your servant, am brave enough to pray to you.
“Because of you, my God, I have been bold to pray to you, as you have told your servant that you will build him a dynasty.
For thou, O my God, hast told thy slave that thou wilt build him a house; therefore, thy slave has found in his heart to pray before thee.

Now I have the courage to pray to you, for you have revealed this to me.
King David went in, took his place before God, and prayed: Who am I, my Master God, and what is my family, that you have brought me to this place in life? But that’s nothing compared to what’s coming, for you’ve also spoken of my family far into the future, given me a glimpse into tomorrow and looked on me, Master God, as a Somebody. What’s left for David to say to this—to your honoring your servant, even though you know me, just as I am? O God, out of the goodness of your heart, you’ve taken your servant to do this great thing and put your great work on display. There’s none like you, God, no God but you, nothing to compare with what we’ve heard with our own ears. And who is like your people, like Israel, a nation unique on earth, whom God set out to redeem as his own people (and became most famous for it), performing great and fearsome acts, throwing out nations and their gods left and right as you saved your people from Egypt? You established for yourself a people—your very own Israel!—your people forever. And you, God, became their God. So now, great God, this word that you have spoken to me and my family, guarantee it forever! Do exactly what you’ve promised! Then your reputation will be confirmed and flourish always as people exclaim, “The God-of-the-Angel-Armies, the God over Israel, is Israel’s God!” And the house of your servant David will remain rock solid under your watchful presence. You, my God, have told me plainly, “I will build you a house.” That’s how I was able to find the courage to pray this prayer to you. God, being the God you are, you have spoken all these wonderful words to me. As if that weren’t enough, you’ve blessed my family so that it will continue in your presence always. Because you have blessed it, God, it’s really blessed—blessed for good!
“For You, my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build a house for him. Therefore Your servant has found courage to pray before You.
You, my Elohim, have revealed especially to me that you will build me a house. That is why I have found the courage to pray to you.
“Because you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a house, your servant dares to pray before you.
For You, my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build him a house; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray before You.
For You, O my God, have revealed to Your servant that You will build for him a house; therefore Your servant has found courage to pray before You.
You, O God, have revealed to your servant that you will build him a house. This is why your servant has found it in his heart to say this prayer before you.

“O my God, I have been bold enough to pray to you because you have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him—a dynasty of kings!
For you, my God, have revealed to your servant that you will build a house for him; therefore your servant has found it possible to pray before you.
