1 Corinthians 10:10
Neither should ye murmur, as some of them also murmured — and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Neither murmur ye, as some of them murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
And do not murmur [in unwarranted discontent], as some of them did—and were destroyed by the destroyer.
Nor discontentedly complain as some of them did—and were put out of the way entirely by the destroyer (death).

And don’t grumble as some of them did, and were killed by the destroyer.
Let’s not grumble, like some of them did, and were killed by the destroyer.

Do not complain against God. Some of our ancestors spoke like that, and God sent an angel of death to kill them.

You must stop complaining, as some of them were doing, and were annihilated by the destroyer.
Neither should we give way to sexual immorality as did some of them, for we read that twenty-three thousand fell in a single day! Nor should we dare to exploit the goodness of God as some of them did, and fell victims to poisonous snakes. Nor yet must you curse the lot that God has appointed to you as they did, and met their end at the hand of the angel of death.

And don’t murmur against God and his dealings with you as some of them did, for that is why God sent his Angel to destroy them.
The same thing could happen to us. We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way as they did. And we must not turn our religion into a circus as they did—“First the people partied, then they threw a dance.” We must not be sexually promiscuous—they paid for that, remember, with 23,000 deaths in one day! We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving him; they tried it, and God launched an epidemic of poisonous snakes. We must be careful not to stir up discontent; discontent destroyed them.
Neither murmur, as some of them also murmured and were destroyed by the destroyer.

Don’t complain as some of them did. The angel of death destroyed them.

Don’t speak against God. That’s what some of the people of Israel did. And they were killed by the destroying angel.
And do not grumble, as some of them did—and were killed by the destroying angel.

We must not complain against God as some of them did. That is why they were destroyed.

Neither should we murmur and grumble even as some of them VAYILONU ("and they murmured’ SHEMOT 15:24; 16:2; 17:3; BAMIDBAR 14:2,29; 16:41) and they were destroyed by the destroyer (Num 14:2,36; 16:41-49; 17:5,10; Ex 12:23 Ps 106:25-27).

You need to stop your groaning and whining. Remember the story. Some of them complained, and the messenger of death came for them and destroyed them.
Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
Do not grumble, as some of them did. They were killed by the Angel of Death!
