1 Corinthians 10:5
Print
But with many of them God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Howbeit with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not well-pleased with most of them, for they were scattered along the ground in the wilderness [because their lack of self-control led to disobedience which led to death].
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with the great majority of them, for they were overthrown and strewn down along [the ground] in the wilderness.
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless God was not pleased with most of them, since they were struck down in the wilderness.
However, God was unhappy with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.
Yet with the majority of them God was not pleased, so their bodies were strewn across the desert.
But most of them did not please God. So they died, and their bodies were scattered all over the desert.
yet God was not pleased with the most of them, for they were strewed in the desert.
But God was not well-pleased with the majority of them, for they were strewn in the wilderness.
But with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the desert.
But God was not pleased with most of those people, so they were killed in the desert.
They all received the same help from God, but most of them did not please God. God caused most of them to die in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them. He had them die in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
But God was not pleased with most of them, so they ·died [or were struck down; or (their bodies) were scattered] in the desert [C as judgment for unbelief and refusing to enter the Promised Land; Num. 13—14].
But with many of them God was not pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Yet, God was not pleased with most of them, so their dead bodies were scattered over the desert.
But even then God was not pleased with most of them, and so their dead bodies were scattered over the desert.
But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the wilderness.
But God was not pleased with most of them. They died in the desert.
But God wasn’t pleased with most of those people, and so they were struck down in the wilderness.
For I should like to remind you, my brothers, that our ancestors all had the experience of being guided by the cloud in the desert and of crossing the sea dry-shod. They were all, so to speak, “baptised” into Moses by these experiences. They all shared the same spiritual food and drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank from the spiritual rock which followed them, and that rock was Christ). Yet in spite of all these wonderful experiences many of them failed to please God, and left their bones in the desert. Now in these events our ancestors stand as examples to us, warning us not to crave after evil things as they did. Nor are you to worship false gods as they did. The scripture says—‘The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.’
But with many of them God was not pleased; therefore, they were overthrown in the wilderness.
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased. For they were struck down in the wilderness.
But God was not pleased with the majority of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
Yet after all this most of them did not obey God, and he destroyed them in the wilderness.
Remember our history, friends, and be warned. All our ancestors were led by the providential Cloud and taken miraculously through the Sea. They went through the waters, in a baptism like ours, as Moses led them from enslaving death to salvation life. They all ate and drank identical food and drink, meals provided daily by God. They drank from the Rock, God’s fountain for them that stayed with them wherever they were. And the Rock was Christ. But just experiencing God’s wonder and grace didn’t seem to mean much—most of them were defeated by temptation during the hard times in the desert, and God was not pleased.
But with many of them God was not well pleased, and they were overthrown in the wilderness.
But with most of them God was not · pleased, · for their corpses were scattered over the desert.
Yet, God was not pleased with most of them, so their dead bodies were scattered over the desert.
Yet God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not pleased; for their dead bodies were spread out in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.
Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the desert.
But God was not pleased with most of them, so they died in the desert.
But God was not pleased with most of them, for they were cut down in the wilderness.
But God was not pleased with most of them. Their bodies were scattered in the desert.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
Even then most of them did not please God. He destroyed them in the desert.
Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
But in many of them, God had no delight. For they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, and they were struck down in the wilderness.
But God wasn’t pleased with most of them, as you can tell by the fact that he laid them low in the desert.
But Hashem was not pleased with most of them, for they were strewn about in the desert, VAYISHCHATEM BAMIDBAR ("then He slaughtered them in the desert" [BAMIDBAR 14:16, 23,29-30; TEHILLIM 78:31).
But with many of them God was not pleased. For they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless with most of them God was not pleased; for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless with most of them God was not pleased; for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them, for they were struck down in the desert.
Despite all of this, they were punished in the wilderness because God was unhappy with most of them.
However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
But God was not pleased with most of them. They died in the wilderness.
But not in full many of them it was well pleasant to God; for why they were cast down in [the] desert.
but in the most of them God was not well pleased, for they were strewn in the wilderness,
