The king said to his attendants, “Take me away from the battle, for I’m severely wounded.” His attendants immediately took him away from the line of battle.
Josiah, however, did not turn back to his chariot, but tried to fight with him, and did not heed the words of the prophet Jeremiah from the mouth of the Lord.
The king said to his servants, “Take me away from the battle, for I am very weak.” And immediately his servants took him out of the line of battle.
But Josi′ah did not turn back to his chariot, but tried to fight with him, and did not heed the words of Jeremiah the prophet from the mouth of the Lord.
And Josiah was not turned again (or did not turn back) upon the chariot, but he endeavoured himself to overcome Pharaoh [or but (he) enforced to overcome him], not taking heed to the word of the prophet (Jeremiah), from the mouth of the Lord;
