Lord, I’m ashamed and disgraced before you.
As soon as I heard these things I tore my garments and my holy mantle, and pulled out hair from my head and beard, and sat down in anxiety and grief.
“O Lord, I am ashamed and dishonored before your face.
As soon as I heard these things I rent my garments and my holy mantle, and pulled out hair from my head and beard, and sat down in anxiety and grief.
And anon (or at once) as I heard these things, I cut my clothes, and the hallowed [or the sacred] coat, and I tore the hairs of mine head, and the beard, and I sat sorrowing, and dreary.
