because of the sins of Jeroboam which he sinned and which he made Israel sin, by his provocation wherewith he provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger.

This was done because Jeroboam had angered the Lord God of Israel by sinning and leading the rest of Israel into sin.
As soon as he was king he killed everyone in Jeroboam’s family. There wasn’t a living soul left to the name of Jeroboam; Baasha wiped them out totally, just as God’s servant Ahijah of Shiloh had prophesied—punishment for Jeroboam’s sins and for making Israel sin, for making the God of Israel thoroughly angry.

King Jeroboam had sinned very much and had led the people of Israel to sin, so he made the Lord, the God of Israel, very angry.
This happened because of the sins which Jeroboam committed and which he made Israel commit. These sins angered the Lord God of Israel.
The Lord judged Jeroboam’s family because of the sins Jeroboam had committed. He had also caused Israel to commit those same sins. He had made the Lord very angry. The Lord is the God of Israel.
This happened because of the sins Jeroboam had committed and had caused Israel to commit, and because he aroused the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel.
