1 Maccabees 1:40
Imprimir
Her dishonor became as great as her glory had been. Her joy turned into sadness.
And the inhabitants of Jerusalem fled away by reason of them, and the city was made the habitation of strangers, and she became a stranger to her own seed, and her children forsook her.
Her shame was as great as her former glory, and her pride was turned into deepest mourning.
As her glory had been, so great was her dishonor: her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonor was equal to her former glory, and her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonour now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonour now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonor now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonor now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonor now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
Her dishonor now grew as great as her glory; her exaltation was turned into mourning.
By [or After] the glory thereof, the evil fame thereof was multiplied, and (the) highness thereof was turned into mourning.
