Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah; for the men despised the offering of Jehovah.
So the sin of the [two] young men [Hophni and Phinehas] was very great before the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord disrespectfully.
So the sin of the [two] young men was very great before the Lord, for they despised the offering of the Lord.
Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
So the servants’ sin was very severe in the presence of the Lord, because the men treated the Lord’s offering with contempt.
The sin of these priestly assistants was very serious in the Lord’s sight because they were disrespecting the Lord’s own offering.
The sin of these young men was very serious in Adonai’s view, because they treated offerings made to Adonai with contempt.
Eli's sons did not show any respect for the sacrifices that the people offered. This was a terrible sin, and it made the Lord very angry.
And the sin of the young men was very great before Jehovah, for men despised the offering of Jehovah.
Wherefore the sin of the young men was exceeding great before the Lord: because they withdrew men from the sacrifice of the Lord.
In this way Hophni and Phinehas showed that they did not respect the offerings made to the Lord. This was a terrible sin against the Lord.
The Lord knew what Eli's sons were doing. They did not respect the sacrifices that people were offering to the Lord. The Lord saw that their sin was very bad.
So the sin of the young men was very serious in the sight of the Lord, because the men were treating the Lord’s offerings with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.
·The Lord saw that [In the Lord’s sight] the sin of the servants was very ·great [serious] because they ·did not show respect for [treated with contempt; despised] the offerings ·made to [L of] the Lord.
Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
The sin of Eli’s sons was a serious matter to the Lord, because these men were treating the offerings made to the Lord with contempt.
This sin of the sons of Eli was extremely serious in the Lord's sight, because they treated the offerings to the Lord with such disrespect.
So the servants’ sin was very severe in the presence of the Lord, because they treated the Lord’s offering with contempt.
The Lord saw that the sin of the servants was very great. They did not show respect for the offerings made to the Lord.
By doing this, the sin of the young men was very serious in the Lord’s sight because the men despised the Lord’s offering.
Therefore, the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for men despised the present of the LORD.
Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord: for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great before Yahweh, for the men spurned the offering of Yahweh.
So the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of Yahweh, because the men treated the offering of Yahweh with contempt.
So the sin of these young men was very great in the eyes of the Lord; for they treated the people’s offerings to the Lord with contempt.
Eli’s own sons were nothing but trouble. They didn’t know God and could not have cared less about the customs of priests among the people. Ordinarily, when someone offered a sacrifice, the priest’s servant was supposed to come up and, while the meat was boiling, stab a three-pronged fork into the cooking pot. The priest then got whatever came up on the fork. But this is how Eli’s sons treated all the Israelites who came to Shiloh to offer sacrifices to God. Before they had even burned the fat to God, the priest’s servant would interrupt whoever was sacrificing and say, “Hand over some of that meat for the priest to roast. He doesn’t like boiled meat; he likes his rare.” If the man objected, “First let the fat be burned—God’s portion!—then take all you want,” the servant would demand, “No, I want it now. If you won’t give it, I’ll take it.” It was a horrible sin these young servants were committing—and right in the presence of God!—desecrating the holy offerings to God.
Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord. For the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.
The sin of Eli’s sons was a serious matter to Yahweh, because these men were treating the offerings made to Yahweh with contempt.
Thus the young men sinned grievously in the presence of the Lord, treating the offerings to the Lord with disdain.
And so the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for the men treated the offering of the Lord disrespectfully.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for the men despised the offering of the Lord.
The young men’s sin was very serious before the Lord, for they were treating the Lord’s offering with contempt.
The Lord saw that the sin of the servants was very great because they did not show respect for the offerings made to the Lord.
The sin of these young men was very great in the Lord’s sight, for they treated the Lord’s offering with contempt.
That sin of Eli’s sons was very great in the Lord’s sight. That’s because they were not treating his offering with respect.
This sin of the young men was very great in the Lord’s sight, for they were treating the Lord’s offering with contempt.
This sin of the young men was very great in the Lord’s sight, for they were treating the Lord’s offering with contempt.
Therefore the sin of the young men was very great before the Lord, for men abhorred the offering of the Lord.
So the sin of the young men was very bad before the Lord. For the men hated the gift of the Lord.
So the sin of these young men was very serious in the Lord’s sight, for they treated the Lord’s offerings with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord; for they treated the offerings of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord; for they treated the offerings of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord; for they treated the offerings of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord, for they treated the offerings of the Lord with contempt.
Wherefore the chattat hane’arim was gedolah me’od before Hashem; for the anashim treated with contempt the minchat Hashem.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord; for the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great in the sight of the Lord; for the men treated the offering of the Lord with contempt.
Thus the sin of the young men was very great before Adonai, for the men despised the offering of Adonai.
Because they despised the Eternal’s ritual offerings, the Eternal One judged that the sons of Eli had sinned greatly.
The sin of the young men was very great before Yahweh; for the men despised Yahweh’s offering.
Therefore the sin of the young men was full grievous before the Lord; for they withdrew men from the sacrifice of the Lord (for they drew people away, or discouraged them, from sacrificing to the Lord).
And the sin of the young men is very great [in] the presence of Jehovah, for the men have despised the offering of Jehovah.
