Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.

Asa also removed the [idolatrous] high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah. The kingdom was at rest and undisturbed under his reign.

And he removed out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun-images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.
And he took away out of all the cities of Juda the altars, and temples, and reigned in peace.
He also removed all the high places and incense altars from all the towns in Judah. So the kingdom had peace when Asa was king.
He removed the altars on the hills. He also removed the altars in all Judah's cities where people burned incense. There was peace in his kingdom while he ruled.
He removed the high places and the sun pillars from all the cities of Judah. The kingdom enjoyed peace and quiet under him.

He got rid of the illegal places of worship and the altars for incense in all the cities of Judah. The kingdom was at peace during his reign.
Because he abolished the pagan places of worship and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah, the kingdom was at peace under his rule.
He also removed the high places and the incense altars from all the cities of Judah, and the kingdom experienced peace under him.
He also removed the places where false gods were worshiped and the incense altars from every town in Judah. So the kingdom had peace while Asa was king.
He also removed the high places and incense altars from all of the cities of Judah. As a result, the kingdom enjoyed rest under Asa’s leadership.

Also, he removed the sun images from the hills and the incense altars from every one of Judah’s cities. That is why God gave his kingdom peace.
Asa was a good king. He did things right in God’s eyes. He cleaned house: got rid of the pagan altars and shrines, smashed the sacred stone pillars, and chopped down the sex-and-religion groves (Asherim). He told Judah to center their lives in God, the God of their fathers, to do what the law said, and to follow the commandments. Because he got rid of all the pagan shrines and altars in the cities of Judah, his kingdom was at peace. Because the land was quiet and there was no war, he was able to build up a good defense system in Judah. God kept the peace.
And he also removed all the high places and incense altars in the cities in Judah. And the kingdom was at rest under Asa.

He built up fortified cities in Judah, for the land was untroubled and he was not engaged in warfare during those years because Adonai had given him rest.
by removing remnants of idol worship in Judah: foreign altars and high places, incense altars, sacred pillars, and statues of Asherah. Asa commanded Judah to seek the Eternal One, the True God of their ancestors, and to obey His laws and commandments. The kingdom was peaceful during Asa’s reign.
Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.
And he took away from all the cities of Judah (the) altars and (the) temples of idols, and he reigned in peace.
