And he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,

Evil-Merodach was kind to Jehoiachin and honored him more than any of the other kings held prisoner there.

Evil Merodach was kind to Jehoiachin. He gave him a more important place to sit than the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
King Evil-Merodach spoke in a kind way to Jehoiachin. He gave him more honour than the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
And he spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat above the seats of the kings who were with him in Babylon.

Evil-Merodach spoke kindly to Jehoiachin. He gave Jehoiachin a seat of honor. It was above the seats of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.
He spoke kindly to him and elevated his position above the thrones of the kings with him in Babylon.
and he spoke kindly to him and set his seat above the seats of the kings that were with him in Babylon.
And he spake kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings that were with him in Babylon;

and he spoke to him good words, and he set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon.
He spoke kindly to him, and he gave him a better seat than the seat of the kings who were with him in Babylon.
He treated Jehoiachin kindly and gave him preferential treatment over all the other kings who were being held as prisoners in Babylon.
When Jehoiachin king of Judah had been in exile for thirty-seven years, Evil-Merodach became king in Babylon and let Jehoiachin out of prison. This release took place on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month. The king treated him most courteously and gave him preferential treatment beyond anything experienced by the other political prisoners held in Babylon. Jehoiachin took off his prison garb and for the rest of his life ate his meals in company with the king. The king provided everything he needed to live comfortably.

Awel-Marduk spoke kindly to Jehoiachin. He gave him a place of honor. Other kings were with Jehoiachin in Babylon. But his place was more important than theirs.
He spoke kindly to him and gave him a seat of honor higher than those of the other kings who were with him in Babylon.

Evil-merodach was good to Jehoiachin, and he gave Jehoiachin an honorary throne that was higher than all the thrones of the other kings held captive in Babylon.
and he spoke kindly to him, and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon,
and spake to him benignly; and he set the throne of Jehoiachin above the throne of (the) kings, that were with him in Babylon. (and spoke kindly to him; and he put Jehoiachin’s seat above the seats of the other kings, who were with him for meals in Babylon.)
and speaketh with him good things and putteth his throne above the throne of the kings who [are] with him in Babylon,
