2 Thessalonians 1:6
Print
For it is a righteous thing with God to recompense with tribulation those who trouble you;
if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,
For after all it is only just for God to repay with distress those who distress you,
[It is a fair decision] since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with distress and affliction those who distress and afflict you,
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
since it is just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you
After all, it’s right for God to pay back the ones making trouble for you with trouble
For it is justice for God to pay back trouble to those who are troubling you,
It is only right for God to punish everyone who is causing you trouble,
if at least [it is a] righteous thing with God to render tribulation to those that trouble you,
since it will be a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to the ones afflicting you
Seeing it is a just thing with God to repay tribulation to them that trouble you:
God will do what is right. He will punish those who are causing you trouble.
God will punish those people who are causing trouble for you. He will cause trouble for them. That is right and fair.
Certainly, it is right for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,
since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
since indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
[L For] God ·will do what is right [is just/righteous]. He will ·give trouble to [pay back with trials/hardship] those who ·trouble [inflict trials/hardships on] you.
For it is a righteous thing with God, to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you,
Certainly, it is right for God to give suffering to those who cause you to suffer.
God will do what is right: he will bring suffering on those who make you suffer,
since it is righteous for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you
And God will do what is right. He will give trouble to those who trouble you.
Certainly it is right for God to pay back those who afflict you with affliction,
These qualities show how justly the judgment of God works out in your case. Without doubt he intends to use your suffering to make you worthy of his kingdom, yet his justice will one day repay trouble to those who have troubled you, and peace to all of us who, like you, have suffered. This judgment will issue eventually in the final denouement of Christ’s personal coming from Heaven with the angels of his power. It will bring full justice in dazzling flame upon those who have refused to know God or to obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Their punishment will be eternal exclusion from the radiance of the face of the Lord, and the glorious majesty of power. But to those whom he has made holy his coming will mean splendour unimaginable. It will be a breath-taking wonder to all who believe—including you, for you have believed the message that we have given you.
seeing it is a just thing with God to recompense tribulation to those that trouble you
Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
Since it is right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
since it is righteous in the sight of God to pay back those who are afflicting you with affliction,
while at the same time he is preparing judgment and punishment for those who are hurting you.
All this trouble is a clear sign that God has decided to make you fit for the kingdom. You’re suffering now, but justice is on the way. When the Master Jesus appears out of heaven in a blaze of fire with his strong angels, he’ll even up the score by settling accounts with those who gave you such a bad time. His coming will be the break we’ve been waiting for. Those who refuse to know God and refuse to obey the Message will pay for what they’ve done. Eternal exile from the presence of the Master and his splendid power is their sentence. But on that very same day when he comes, he will be exalted by his followers and celebrated by all who believe—and all because you believed what we told you.
It is a righteous matter with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,
For it is a righteous thing for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
Certainly, it is right for God to give suffering to those who cause you to suffer.
For it is surely just on God’s part to repay with afflictions those who are afflicting you,
For after all it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
For after all it is only just for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
It is only just that God will repay with suffering those who make you suffer
God will do what is right. He will give trouble to those who trouble you.
For it is right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
God is fair. He will pay back trouble to those who give you trouble.
God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
God is just: he will pay back trouble to those who trouble you
since it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you,
He does what is right and will allow trouble to come to those who are making it hard for you.
In his justice he will pay back those who persecute you.
It is surely a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to those who trouble you;
For it is indeed just of God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
For it is indeed just of God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
For it is indeed just of God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
For it is indeed just of God to repay with affliction those who afflict you
since it is just, on God’s part, to pay back with suffering those who inflict suffering on you,
Indeed it is tzaddik (a thing examined and found to be right) for Hashem to repay with tzarah (tribulation) those who bring tzarah (tribulation) on you
For it is a righteous thing with God to repay those who trouble you with tribulation.
since indeed God deems it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
since indeed God deems it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
( For after all, it is right in the sight of God to pay back trouble to those who trouble you,
It is only right that God would repay with trouble those who have troubled you
Since it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,
God will do what is right. He will give trouble to those who are troubling you.
If nevertheless it is just before God [If nevertheless it is just at God] to requite tribulation to them that trouble you,
since [it is] a righteous thing with God to give back to those troubling you -- trouble,
