2 Corinthians 12:15
And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you, though the more abundantly I love you, the less I am loved.
And I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?
But I will very gladly spend [my own resources] and be utterly spent for your souls. If I love you greatly, am I to be loved less [by you]?
But I will most gladly spend [myself] and be utterly spent for your souls. If I love you exceedingly, am I to be loved [by you] the less?
And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.
I will most gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

And as for me, I will most gladly spend everything I have and be spent myself too for your sakes. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

Now *I* shall most gladly spend and be utterly spent for your souls, if even in abundantly loving you I should be less loved.
But I will most gladly spend and be expended for your souls— though while loving you more, I am loved less!
But I most gladly will spend and be spent myself for your souls; although loving you more, I be loved less.
So I am happy to give everything I have for you. I will even give myself for you. If I love you more, will you love me less?
So I will be happy to give everything that I have to you. I will be happy to give myself too, because I want to help you. Perhaps I love you too much! But that should not mean that you will love me less than you should.
But I will very gladly spend and be completely spent on behalf of your souls. If I love you all the more, am I to be loved that much less?

Now I am all ready to visit you for the third time, and I am still not going to be a burden to you. It is you I want—not your money. Children don’t have to put by their savings for their parents; parents do that for their children. Consequently I will most gladly spend and be spent for your good, even though it means that the more I love you the less you love me.

I am glad to give you myself and all I have for your spiritual good, even though it seems that the more I love you, the less you love me.
Everything is in readiness now for this, my third visit to you. But don’t worry about it; you won’t have to put yourselves out. I’ll be no more of a bother to you this time than on the other visits. I have no interest in what you have—only in you. Children shouldn’t have to look out for their parents; parents look out for the children. I’d be most happy to empty my pockets, even mortgage my life, for your good. So how does it happen that the more I love you, the less I’m loved?
And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you. If I love you more, am I to be loved less?
