Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah for David His servant’s sake, as He promised him to give him always a light, and to his children.
Howbeit Jehovah would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give unto him a lamp for his children alway.
Yet for the sake of His servant David the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, since He had promised to give him a lamp (enthroned descendant) through his sons always.
Yet, for David His servant’s sake, the Lord would not destroy Judah, for He promised to give him and his sons a lamp forever.
Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, and to his children.
For the sake of his servant David, the Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah, since he had promised to give a lamp to David and his sons forever.
Nevertheless, because of his servant David, the Lord wasn’t willing to destroy Judah. The Lord had promised to preserve a lamp for David and his sons forever.
However, Adonai was unwilling to destroy Y’hudah, because of his servant David; inasmuch as he had promised to give him and his children a lamp that would burn forever.
But the Lord refused to destroy Judah, because he had promised his servant David that someone from his family would always rule in Judah.
But Jehovah would not destroy Judah, for David his servant's sake, as he had promised him to give him always a lamp for his sons.
But the Lord would not destroy Juda, for David his servant's sake, as he had promised him, to give him a light, and to his children always.
But the Lord would not destroy Judah because of the promise to his servant David. He had promised David that someone from his family would always be king.
But the Lord did not want to destroy the nation of Judah, because of his promise to his servant, David. The Lord had promised that King David would always have descendants who would rule the nation.
But for the sake of his servant David, the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, because he had said that he would give a lamp to David and to his sons forever.
Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David his servant, since he promised to give a lamp to him and to his sons forever.

But the Lord ·would not [was unwilling to] destroy Judah ·because [for the sake] of his servant David. The Lord had promised ·that one of David’s descendants would always rule [L to give a lamp to him and his descendants forever; C a metaphor for the reign of a king; 2 Sam. 7:12; 1 Kin. 11:36; 2 Chr. 21:7].
Yet the Lord would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he had promised him to give him a light, and to his children forever.
But for David’s sake the Lord didn’t want to destroy Judah. The Lord had told David that he would always give him and his descendants a ⌞shining⌟ lamp.
but the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, because he had promised his servant David that his descendants would always continue to rule.
The Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah because of His servant David, since He had promised to give a lamp to David and his sons forever.
But the Lord would not destroy Judah because of his servant David. The Lord had promised that David and his children would always have a kingdom.
But the Lord remained unwilling to destroy Judah for the sake of his servant David, since he had promised to keep David’s lamp burning brightly through his descendants every day.
Yet with all this, the LORD would not destroy Judah for David, his slave’s sake, as he had promised him to give him always a light of his sons.

Nevertheless, because God had promised his servant David that he would watch over and guide his descendants, he did not destroy Judah.
In the fifth year of the reign of Joram son of Ahab king of Israel, Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah became king. He was thirty-two years old when he began his rule, and was king for eight years in Jerusalem. He copied the way of life of the kings of Israel, marrying into the Ahab family and continuing the Ahab line of sin—from God’s point of view, an evil man living an evil life. But despite that, because of his servant David, God was not ready to destroy Judah. He had, after all, promised to keep a lamp burning through David’s descendants.
Yet the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, since He promised to give a lamp to him and his sons perpetually.
But for David’s sake Yahweh didn’t want to destroy Judah. Yahweh had told David that he would always give him and his descendants a shining lamp.
Even so, the Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah, for the sake of his servant David. For he had promised David that he would leave him a holding in the Lord’s presence for all time.
However, the Lord did not want to destroy Judah, for the sake of David His servant, since He had promised him to give him a lamp through his sons always.
However, the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David His servant, since He had promised him to give a lamp to him through his sons always.
Yet, the Lord would not destroy Judah for the sake of David, his servant, for he had promised to give a light to him and his children forever.
But the Lord would not destroy Judah because of his servant David. The Lord had promised that one of David’s descendants would always rule.
But the Lord was unwilling to destroy Judah. He preserved Judah for the sake of his servant David to whom he had promised a perpetual dynasty.
But the Lord didn’t want to destroy Judah. That’s because the Lord had made a covenant with his servant David. The Lord had promised to keep the lamp of David’s kingdom burning brightly. The Lord had promised that for him and his children after him forever.
Nevertheless, for the sake of his servant David, the Lord was not willing to destroy Judah. He had promised to maintain a lamp for David and his descendants forever.

But the Eternal refused to bring Judah to its end, because He had made a promise to David, His loyal servant, that David’s progeny would always carry the lamp of his presence.
However Yahweh would not destroy Judah, for David his servant’s sake, as he promised him to give to him a lamp for his children always.
Forsooth the Lord would not destroy Judah, for David, his servant, as he promised to David, that he should give to him a lantern, and to his sons in all days. (But the Lord did not destroy Judah, for the sake of his servant David, as he had promised David, that he would give him, and his sons, a light, or a flame, to burn forever.)
and Jehovah was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of David his servant, as He said to him, to give to him a lamp -- to his sons all the days.
