They feared the Lord, but served their own gods, after the manner of the nations who carried them away from thence.
They feared Jehovah, and served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.
They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods, following the custom of the nations from among whom they had been sent into exile.
They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods, as did the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

So they worshipped the Lord, but they also served their own gods according to the religious practices of the nations from which they had been exiled.
They both feared Adonai and served their own gods in the manner customary among the nations from which they had been taken away.
They worshiped their own gods, just as they had before they were taken away to Israel. They also worshiped the Lord, but they chose their own people to be priests at the shrines.
They feared Jehovah, and served their own gods after the manner of the nations, whence they had been carried away.
And when they worshipped the Lord, they served also their own gods according to the custom of the nations out of which they were brought to Samaria:
They respected the Lord but also served their own gods, just as they did in their own countries.
In this way, they worshipped the Lord, but they also served their own gods. They did that in the way that they had always done in their own countries. That was what they did before the Assyrians sent them to live in Samaria.
They were fearing the Lord, but they were also serving their gods according to the customs of the nations from which they had been deported.
So they feared the Lord but also served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

The people ·honored [revered; feared] the Lord but also ·served [followed] their own gods, ·just as [L in accordance with the customs of] the nations ·did from which they had been brought [from which they had been exiled].

They feared the LORD and served their own gods after the manner of the gentiles whom they carried away from there.

They were fearing Yahweh and serving their own gods according to the custom of the nations from among whom they had been taken away into exile.
Yahweh they were fearing, but their gods they were serving, according to the customs of the nations from which they were deported.
But they continued to follow the religious customs of the nations from which they came.
They honored and worshiped God, but not exclusively—they also appointed all sorts of priests, regardless of qualification, to conduct a variety of rites at the local fertility shrines. They honored and worshiped God, but they also kept up their devotions to the old gods of the places they had come from.
They feared the Lord, and they were serving their own gods, after the manner of the nations whom they exiled from there.
They worshiped Yahweh but also served their own gods according to the customs of the nations from which they had come.

And though they worshiped the Lord, they continued to follow their own gods according to the religious customs of the nations from which they came.
So they worshipped the Lord, but they also served their own gods, after the manner of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

And when they worshipped God, they served also their gods, by the custom of heathen men, from which they were translated to Samaria; (And while they worshipped God, they also served their own gods, after the custom of the heathen, from where they had been brought back to Samaria;)
Jehovah they are fearing, and their gods they are serving, according to the custom of the nations whence they removed them.
