About the same time, four men with leprosy were just outside the gate of Samaria. They said to each other, “Why should we sit here, waiting to die?

Now there were four lepers, at the entering in of the gate: and they said one to another: What mean we to stay here till we die?
There were four men sick with leprosy near the city gate. They said to each other, “Why are we sitting here waiting to die?
At this time, there were four men who had leprosy. They were at Samaria's gate where people went in to the city. They said to each other, ‘We should not stay here. If we wait here we will die.

It happened that four lepers were sitting just outside the city gate. They said to one another, “What are we doing sitting here at death’s door? If we enter the famine-struck city we’ll die; if we stay here we’ll die. So let’s take our chances in the camp of Aram and throw ourselves on their mercy. If they receive us we’ll live, if they kill us we’ll die. We’ve got nothing to lose.”

Meanwhile four men with skin diseases were standing and conversing near the gate entrance. Diseased Men (to each other): Why are we just sitting around here isolated, waiting to die?
Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate. They said to one another, “Why do we sit here until we die?
Therefore four leprous men were beside the entering of the city’s gate, which said together, What will we be here, till we die? (And so four lepers were beside the entrance to the city gate, and they said together, Why should we stay here, and just wait until we all die?)
And four men have been leprous, at the opening of the gate, and they say one unto another, `What -- we are sitting here till we have died;
