Having received a taste of the Jews’ courage, the king made an attempt on their military positions through other tricks.
But the king having taken a taste of the hardiness of the Jews, attempted to take the strong places by policy:
This taste of Jewish daring was enough to convince King Antiochus that he had to find some better way of capturing the Jewish positions.
The king, having had a taste of the Jews’ boldness, tried to take their positions by a stratagem.
The king, having had a taste of the daring of the Jews, resorted to strategy to capture their positions.
The king, having had a taste of the daring of the Jews, tried strategy in attacking their positions.
The king, having had a taste of the daring of the Jews, tried strategy in attacking their positions.
