Nicanor replied, “And I am the ruler on earth who commands you to take up arms and to carry out the royal orders.” Nevertheless, he didn’t succeed in carrying out his terrible plan.
Then he said: And I am mighty upon the earth, and I command to take arms, and to do the king's business. Nevertheless he prevailed not to accomplish his design.
But Nicanor answered, I am the ruler on earth, and I order you to take up your weapons and to do what the king commands. However, he did not succeed in carrying out his cruel plan.
Then he said, “I, the ruler on earth, command you to take up arms and carry out the king’s business.” Nevertheless he did not succeed in carrying out his cruel plan.
