2 Maccabees 1:11
God saved us from great danger when we were battling against the king. So we greatly praise God
Having been delivered by God out of great dangers, we give him great thanks, forasmuch as we have been in war with such a king.
We thank God because he saved us from great danger. We were like men ready to fight against a king,
Since we have been saved by God from grave dangers, we give him great thanks as befits those who fought against the king;
Since we have been rescued by God from grave dangers, we offer him our profuse thanks for championing our cause against the king,
Having been saved by God out of grave dangers we thank him greatly for taking our side against the king,
Having been saved by God out of grave dangers we thank him greatly for taking our side against the king,
Having been saved by God out of grave dangers we thank him greatly for taking our side against the king,
