2 Maccabees 6:19

But preferring death with honor to life with religious defilement, he proceeded voluntarily to the torture instrument,
But he, choosing rather a most glorious death than a hateful life, went forward voluntarily to the torment.
But he preferred an honorable death rather than a life of disgrace. So he spit out the meat and went willingly to the place of torture, showing how people should have courage to refuse unclean food, even if it costs them their lives.
But preferring a glorious death to a life of defilement, he went forward of his own accord to the instrument of torture,
But he, preferring death with honor rather than a life marked by defilement, spat it out and voluntarily went up to the torture rack,
But he, welcoming death with honour rather than life with pollution, went up to the rack of his own accord, spitting out the flesh,
But he, welcoming death with honour rather than life with pollution, went up to the rack of his own accord, spitting out the flesh,
But he, welcoming death with honor rather than life with pollution, went up to the rack of his own accord, spitting out the flesh,
But he, welcoming death with honor rather than life with pollution, went up to the rack of his own accord,
But he, welcoming death with honor rather than life with pollution, went up to the the rack of his own accord, spitting out the flesh,
But he, welcoming death with honor rather than life with pollution, went up to the the rack of his own accord, spitting out the flesh,
And he embraced, or chose, more glorious death, than hateful life, and willfully (or willingly) went before to torment. [And he embracing, or desiring, more glorious death, than hateful life, willfully went before to torment.]
