After him they brought forward the sixth brother. As he was about to die, he said, “Don’t deceive yourself in vain. We suffer these things because of our own sins against our God. Things worthy of wonder have happened.
After him they brought the sixth, and he being ready to die, spoke thus: Be not deceived without cause: for we suffer these things for ourselves, having sinned against our God, and things worthy of admiration are done to us:
Then the soldiers took the sixth boy, and just before he died he said, Make no mistake. We are suffering what we deserve, because we have sinned against our God. That's why all these terrible things are happening to us.
